Paul Bullington, REALTOR, CDEI
Paul Bullington is a real estate professional and educator, currently serving as the Education Director of the D&D School of Real Estate. With a Master's Degree in Management from Austin Peay State University, Paul brings a robust academic foundation to his role. His extensive experience encompasses real estate brokerage, property management, and a deep commitment to education.
As a TREC-approved instructor, Paul offers a diverse range of courses, including Agent Pre-Licensing, TRECCORE, Code of Ethics, GRI, Contracts 101, Short Term Rental Management, and Property Management. His dedication to excellence is further demonstrated by his numerous certifications, such as Accredited Residential Manager (ARM), Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager (CRB), Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR), and Graduate of the REALTOR Institute (GRI), and more.
In his leadership capacity, Paul holds key positions as Principal Broker and part of the ownership team at locally owned brokerage in Dickson, TN and he owns two Property Management Firms in the Middle Tennessee area. He actively contributes to the real estate community through roles such as 2025 President of the Dickson County Chapter of Greater Nashville Realtors (GNR) and as a member of the Board of Directors for the Tennessee Association of Realtors. His involvement extends to serving on the MLS Advisory Committee at GNR and the Professional Development Committee at the National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM).
Paul's passion for education and his comprehensive understanding of the real estate industry make him an invaluable asset to the D&D School of Real Estate. His leadership is instrumental in shaping the next generation of real estate professionals, ensuring they are well-equipped to navigate the complexities of the industry.

Glen McLain
Glen McLain is a finance and business expert dedicated to advancing real estate education as Co-Owner and Business Manager of D&D School of Real Estate. With a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Northwestern State University of Louisiana and over a decade of experience in financial management, Glen ensures the school's continued excellence and innovation.
His background includes serving as Business & Finance Manager for a leading property management company, where he oversees financial operations, compliance, and strategic planning.
Now leading D&D, Glen is committed to maintaining its legacy while enhancing Pre-Licensing, Continuing Education, and Broker Licensing programs. He is also passionate about expanding business-related courses, equipping real estate professionals with the financial knowledge and operational skills needed to run successful businesses. His expertise keeps D&D at the forefront of real estate education in Tennessee, helping agents build not just careers, but thriving enterprises.
Our Instructors

Kathy Oakes
The daughter of an Army serviceman, Kathy was raised all over the south. While attending UT, she met and married Jeff Oakes. They moved to Johnson City and raised four beautiful children. Kathy attended D&D School of Real Estate with founder and mentor, Dick Clemmer in 2004 and fell in love with real estate. In 2008, she furthered her career and became a Broker. In 2019, Kathy and Jeff bought D&D School of Real Estate. Today, Kathy continues her commitment to the school’s original values by ensuring that the school offers relevant, up-to-date content and making the educational process an engaging experience.
Kathy is passionate about continuous learning and has earned numerous certifications. Some of her achievements include; graduating NETAR’s Leadership Academy 1 and 2, ARELLO certification (the highest level of distance training certification), C2X, and Graduate of the Real Estate Institute (GRI).
Kathy’s mission is “to grow people and grow profits to impact their world.” Fostering growth in herself and others is one of her driving forces. To support the community, she led her local Real Estate Board in creating an Education Award to assist others in pursuit of their real estate dreams.

Bethany Oakes
Bethany is currently a Broker and has been licensed since 2015. She has a passion for working with first time home buyers and educating them on the process of becoming homeowners. In addition to being a Real Estate Agent, Bethany brokers at a local real estate firm and runs her own Transaction Coordination business. She is passionate about education and advancement. She has earned the At Home with Diversity Designation and is working toward earning her C2EX Designation. She has been an instructor with D&D since 2021 and truly enjoys educating and encouraging tomorrow’s real estate professionals.
In her spare time, Bethany is the Secretary of the Jonesborough Area Merchant and Service Association which promotes local businesses and contributes to Jonesborough charities JAMA Food Pantry and Friends of the Library. Bethany is passionate about her community as well as being very active in her church. Her hobbies include playing piano and singing. She is self-proclaimed nerd, and a championship baker who is known for her legendary chess bars.

Joe Gross
Joe Gross, licensed as a REALTOR® in Tennessee since 2013 and in Virginia and North Carolina since 2023, brings extensive management and organizational expertise to the real estate industry. His clients value his commitment to providing common-sense advice, not just for their current transactions but with a forward-thinking approach to future real estate decisions.
As the Principal Broker of his firm, Joe leads a team of full- and part-time REALTORS®, offering guidance and leveraging his years of experience to support their success. Additionally, as a licensed Mortgage Broker in Tennessee and Virginia, he provides clients with a well-rounded understanding of real estate financing.
Beyond his role as a broker, Joe is deeply committed to education and training the next generation of real estate professionals. He is passionate about equipping new agents with the knowledge, skills, and business acumen necessary to thrive in a competitive market. His dedication to professional development ensures that agents under his mentorship are well-prepared for long-term success in the industry.
When he’s not working, Joe enjoys cruising warm tropical waters with family and friends, baking his famous “Joe Cookies,” and exploring the latest in home automation technology.

Jacque Lowe
After nearly 15 years in the real estate industry, Jacque Lowe still gets excited when she secures a real estate transaction. Along with a love for the real estate process as a whole, Jacque is most known for the connection that she forms with her clients and fellow Real Estate Agents.
After being a Real Estate Agent for 10 years, Jacque earned her Broker license. She quickly found she had a passion for education within the industry and realized she wanted to lead, teach, and train Real Estate Agent for the betterment of the industry. To better make an impact, Jacque is also a certified Real Estate Instructor at the local real estate school. With experience in all aspects, including commercial and residential sales and leases, Jacque is also knowledgeable in investment properties.
In Jacque’s spare time, she enjoys spending time with her best friend and confidante, Jerry, and her two amazing kids Abigail and Blake. She also enjoys drinking coffee, eating cake, and traveling to the beach.

A Brief History
D&D Enterprises began in 1994 by offering continuing education correspondence courses to Tennessee Real Estate Licensees. In 1995, the original company was purchased by Dick Clemmer and he changed the name to D&D School of Real Estate. Under Dick’s leadership, D&D grew to include over 30 continuing education correspondence courses, several campus locations for live classes, and Virginia state licensing courses.
In 2019, Jeff and Kathy Oakes took the helm, continuing Dick’s legacy of excellence and growth. In 2025, Paul Bullington and Glen McLain purchased D&D, eager to build on the strong foundation laid by their predecessors. With a deep respect for the work of Jeff, Kathy, and Dick, we are committed to maintaining D&D’s reputation for high-quality education while exploring new and innovative ways to serve real estate professionals.
Now D&D School of Real Estate serves over 70,000 licensees and our courses are widely recognized for their high quality. D&D continues to look for innovative ways to improve the Pre-Licensing, Continuing Education and Broker Licensing educational experience.
