Raised all over the south, Kathy Oakes, an Army Brat eventually landed in East Tennessee. She met her husband Jeff at the University of Tennessee. In 1997 they moved to Johnson City for her husband to Pastor a church and where they raised their four children. In 2004 Kathy, who had helped her Grandmother with rental properties for years decided to get licensed. She attended D&D School of Real Estate with the founder, Dick Clemmer. She immediately fell in love with the Real Estate Industry.
Kathy’s accomplishments are many and received many accolades in her career as she became a Broker (also through using D&D School of Real Estate), in sales and Service including the Prestigious NETAR REALTOR ® OF THE YEAR. She is a graduate of the Real Estate Institute as well as NETAR’s Leadership Academy 1 and 2. Kathy led her local Real Estate Board to creating an Education Award and remains a lifelong learner committed to her own growth and the growth of others.
Kathy is also a Certified Business Leadership Coach through MAPS (Mega Agent Productivity Systems) where she coaches agents who own or run a Real Estate office across the country. Her mission is to ‘GROW PEOPLE, AND GROW PROFITS TO IMPACT THEIR WORLD.’
In 2019 Kathy and her husband, Jeff Oakes, bought D&D School of Real Estate from the late Dick Clemmer. He was a business mentor in Kathy’s life and they shared a passion for education and raising the bar in the Real Estate Industry. She will continue to pour into creating relevant content, updating content and making the educational process engaging and purposeful for Agents.
Pam is a lifelong resident of Johnson City, Tennessee. I was born in the old Johnson City Memorial Hospital and never left. I graduated from Daniel Boone High School then D&D Real Estate School in 2008. Before becoming a Realtor, Pam was a trainer at a local company in Gray, Tennessee for over ten years. So, training is a passion that she’s always had and is excited to continue that part in the real estate industry.
Pam met her husband, Ben Hurd at ETSU back in 1989, married in 1991 and had our daughter, Brandi Hurd in 1993. We now own our own Realty office in Johnson City, Tennessee that has grown to over 40+ agents in the 3 years that we have been open. God has blessed our company and our family in so many ways. We are thankful for opportunities that has been given to us. Most of our time is spent in the Realty world but we are also very involved with our church. Ben is the Pastor at Harvest Time Baptist Church so if we are not doing real estate we are at the church or spending time with family including our new grandson, Skyler Cash who is almost nine months old.
